Woah. The Conference of Youth (COY) is only three days away! That’s right, in three days youth from all over the world are gonna be getting their passion on and finding sustainable solutions to solve the climate crisis. There’s gonna be skill sharing, friendship forging and a whole lotta movement building!
This year, COY is celebrating its 7th birthday in Durban, South Africa! But we’re not going to Durban for no picnic, no sir, we’re going because COY is held every year before the United Nations climate talks! It’s been youth organised, it’s going to be youth run and it’s going to be youth dominated!
Last year, over 400 youth from over 40 different countries came to COY in Cancún, Mexico. Amazing! But, this year we’ve got even more people, with registration numbers busting open even our most open-ended estimates! Incredible!
Workshops this year are catering to newcomers and… oldcomers alike, providing a platform for learning, organising and inspiring. It’s gonna be all about collaborating on campaigns, developing mad skillz and having rocking good times!
So, in three days, we’ll see you in Durban!
