Dear Friends,
On the morning of October 24, 2009, as people rallied in thousands of cities across the planet, a young woman named Ola walked alone to the center of Babylon, Iraq, took a deep breath, and unfurled a 350 banner, joining a worldwide call for climate action.

The meetups will be short and casual meetings we can use to make big plans for the coming year.
Think of it as a distributed, synchronized, global planning meeting. At your Climate MeetUp in April, you'll be joining people like Ola around the world in starting to plan an event for 10/10/10–the Global Work Party.
Can you gather your friends together for a Climate MeetUp at the end of April?

Whether you want to plant trees in the park or install a solar panel on the roof of City Hall, the Climate MeetUp is an easy way to bring together a local team and start planning. You'll find a link to short guide* that tells you everything you need know on our sign up page:
10/10/10, the Global Work Party, will be a chance for all of us to show what leadership really looks like — together, we'll get to work creating climate solutions from the ground up and demand our politicians do the same.
When we act together around the world, none of us are alone. As you discuss your plans for 10/10/10 at your Climate MeetUp, you'll be joined by thousands of other organizers on every continent, including Ola and her friends in Iraq.
Thank you for making this movement possible,
Will Bates on behalf of the entire 350.org team.
P.S. Looking for more updates from the growing international climate movement? Stay tuned to the blog, as 350.org staff report from the World Peoples' Climate Summit in Bolivia this April 19 -24 and report on other global climate news.
